PROLOGIC DIGITALLY DRIVES OPERATIONS 
 
We have invested in developing our transport management system to enable us to digitalise a lot of processes and create more efficiencies in our day to day operations. This investment will provide real time tracking for all of our customers through a customer portal, creating more transparency and helping us drive our customer service and experience to new levels.

Investment in new Genset trailers 
 
As part of our investment strategy, we will soon be taking delivery of a batch of new Genset trailers to add to our fleet. We continue to invest in refreshing and adding to our current equipment in order to provide our customers with the best possible, all round service. This investment will help us support our customers further with additional refrigerated transport options.

CDS Deadline Approaches 
 
The CDS deadlines are looming. Going by the current schedule, CHIEF will be withdrawn in two stages: 
 
After 30 September 2022, you won’t be able to make import declarations on CHIEF 
 
After 31 March 2023, you won’t be able to make export declarations on CHIEF 
 
HMRC recently sent letters to 220,000 GB VAT registered traders and although not all of them will be importers and or exporters, and many will use the services of a broker or forwarder, this communication is indicative of the lack of awareness – and lack of preparedness – for the impending move 
 
PORT OF FELIXSTOWE LAUNCHES OCEAN 
 
Hutchison Ports’ Port of Felixstowe has launched OCEAN (Online Container Enquiry Analytics Notifications), a new online platform to provide fast and accurate real-time information for customers.

UK government ministers criticised for failing to ensure enough customs agents have been trained to handle the expected surge in demand caused by the end of the UK’s Brexit transition period from EU rules from 1 January
