INTRODUCTION OF REMOTE CONTROLLED YARD CRANES (RTGS) AT THE PORT OF FELIXSTOWE 
 
Over the past few months the Port of Felixstowe have been installing and testing their new remote controlled yard cranes. Having been asked to provide vehicles to help test them, we have seen first hand the benefit these will have to the ports operations in the future. 
 
While these are still very much under trial we have been told that they are looking to roll out the remote control aspect of these cranes in the 4th Quarter this year if all goes to plan.

RHA Publish paper on preparing for a no deal Brexit 
 
Dare we say it....the B word? There is no hiding from it Brexit is coming! In the same way winter was coming in Game of Thrones, it will effect all of us. The Government has announced we will be leaving the European Union on the 31st of October "WITH OR WITHOUT A DEAL". How true that is we cant say but we believe that we all need to be prepared as best we can for every outcome. This week the RHA have published a paper on preparing for a no deal Brexit, we have included the link below for you if you wish to read through it.

This week OOCL announced they would be introducing additional verification checks on hazardous cargo being shipped. For more information please see the below link.

On Thursday the US President Donald Trump announced that the US would impose further tariffs on goods imported from China into the United States from 1st September 2019 following ongoing negotiations between the two countries. Please see the below links for further information.
