WEC LINES FURTHER EXPANDS PORT OF LIVERPOOL SERVICES 
 
Dutch shipping company WEC Lines has expanded its existing service into the Port of Liverpool with a new series of weekly calls into the port from Northern Spain, Portugal, North Africa and the Canary Islands.

Port of Liverpool - Strike Action Confirmed 
 
Unite the Union has confirmed strike action is to take place at the Port of Liverpool between 06:00 Monday 19 September and 06:00 Monday 3 October. 
 
The move is designed to disrupt operations at the UK container port after a pay package of 8.3% was rejected by the union, and following demands for greater pay increases.

CONNECTING ISTANBUL AND THE UK VIA RAIL 
 
As part of MSC’s comprehensive range of cargo services between Europe and the UK, they are now offering the Omerli-Tekirdağ rail service. 
 
Once the cargo departs Turkey via Asyaport (Port of Tekirdağ), it’s just eight days until it reaches the Port of Felixstowe in the UK (or 12 days to the Port of Liverpool).
