Covid-19 / Coronavirus Update

This week we have seen many factories and businesses return to work following the extended Lunar New Year holidays due to the Covid-19 / Coronavirus outbreak. Although many factories and businesses have returned to work, there are still areas that remain closed and those that are working, are doing so at a reduced capacity as they are short staffed due to travel restrictions still in place.

Air Freight
As a result of the delays in production, many supply chains have been affected across the world and we are seeing a increase in Air Freight bookings as importers try to replenish stocks as quickly as possible. Due to this we are expecting space to become more limited as further bookings are made, however our team are here to help with any requirements you may have for Air Freight and with our dedicated partners in China, we are able to offer competitive rates and space should you require.

Sea Freight
As production picks up, we are expecting a large increase in Sea Freight volumes as exporters try to clear the backlog of orders they have as well as new orders being placed. As a result, we are anticipating some fluctuations in the ocean freight rates over the coming weeks as capacity on vessels tighten and volumes increase. If you are looking for assistance with your Sea Freight, please contact one of our dedicated team who will be more than happy to help with any requirements you have.

The situation is constantly changing in China from day to day and we are in regular contact with our partners over there, obtaining up to date information to help our customers put plans in place to replenish their stock as well as look at alternative supply chain options should they require. If you are looking for assistance with your supply chain, please get in touch to discuss how we can help.
